CPR for Professional Rescuers

Course Description

CPR for the Professional Rescuer (CPR Pro) is designed for healthcare providers and first responders both inside and outside the hospital setting. The program covers sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, airway obstruction, CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Program content is based on the American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for CPR and ECC as well as other evidence-based treatment recommendations.

CPR Pro has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). CPR Pro is also recognized and approved by CECBEMS which is the national accrediting body for Emergency Medical Services continuing education courses and course providers.

CPR Pro is designed for individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training. CPR Pro is a program of the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI).

Course Time Frame: 2 to 5 hours

Course Certification: Valid for a two-year period
